Trump’s Looney Girlfriend Purges the NSC and NSA

We begin with the ousting of the head of the NSA and Cyber Command along with 6 members of the NSC on the recommendation of a delusional conspiracy theorist who believes 9/11 was an inside job and that school shootings have been staged. Trump took the advice of Laura Loomer who has special access to the Oval Office and appears to be closer to Trump than his own wife who keeps her distance only showing up for ceremonial occasions. Joining us to discuss the pattern of Trump firing people who know about his ties to Putin is Denver Riggleman, who supported advanced intelligence analysis and technical development programs during his over two decades as an intelligence officer, NSA adviser, federal contractor, research and development technology lead, and CEO of support companies for the Department of Defense. A veteran of the Global War on Terror and multiple worldwide operations, he served in the US Air Force for nine active-duty years. He also served as a Republican member of the House of Representatives from Virginia’s Fifth Congressional District and was the former senior technical advisor for the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th attack on the United States Capitol and is the co-author of The Breach: The Untold Story of the Investigation into January 6th.

The Future of NATO and a Europe Without the US

Then as Trump and his real estate buddy Witkoff bend over backwards to get the Kremlin to agree to a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine as Putin strings them along for a better deal, we look into the future of NATO and a Europe without the United States and speak with Stephen Wertheim, a senior fellow in the American Statecraft Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He is the author of Tomorrow, the World: The Birth of U.S. Global Supremacy in World War II and we will discuss his article at Survival, “The End of Illusion: Why Europe Needs Independence from the United States.”

In Search of a Methodology Behind the Economic Lunacy of Trump’s Tariffs?

Then finally, after Trump wiped out over 6 $trillion of wealth on the stock exchange in two days following his disastrous tariff announcement which has ignited a trade war, we speak with Karthik Sankaran, a senior research fellow in geoeconomics in the Global South program at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft. Originally trained as a Modern European Historian, he has been a strategist in global financial markets for over twenty-five years, focusing on the interaction of national politics, economics, and geopolitics. He joins us to try to explain the methodology behind Trump’s economic lunacy that has a 29% tariff slapped on a remote Pacific island that does not trade with the US.
